I really hate this saying. As I have been used numerous times to incite jealousy in the girl I happen to be with's ex....and shouldn't it be fair?
I don't believe that is what the quote is saying. What it is saying is that one should fight to keep the one they love.
Perhaps. But regardless of intentions, the end result is jaded by personal experience.
